docs: the whole catalog measured — 84.9% of 703 tracks compile and emit

Not sampled: every .tidal under live/ evaluated with silent-eval --seeded.
85 do not compile and 21 have a genuinely silent orbit; the failures are
diffuse helper/API drift (scope errors on g, jchord; Pattern String type
mismatches), not one rotten folder. Playable is still not gig-ready — the
play log remains the better signal for a set.

+PLN asked: "which % of backlog is playable on this xps24?" This is the whole
+catalog measured, not sampled.
+
+## Method
+
+`tools/silent-eval.py --seeded` over every `.tidal` under `live/` (703 files),
+one process per track (~1 s each), `nice -n 19` so it could not preempt the
+live rig (scsynth runs SCHED_FIFO 90). Verdicts:
+
+- **PLAYABLE** — compiles and every declared orbit emits events with the #55 boot seed.
+- **COMPILE_FAIL** — does not build (scope/type errors).
+- **SILENT_ORBIT** — builds, but an orbit emits nothing even seeded (a real fault,
+  the `techno_orage` d2 class).
+
+Cold-silent-unseeded orbits are NORMAL on this rig (the #55 unseeded-`^NN` class)
+and are not counted as faults.
+

+## What the failures actually are
+
+Not rot — **drift**. The recurring signatures are helpers and APIs that moved
+on: `Variable not in scope: g`, `Variable not in scope: jchord`,
+`Couldn't match type: Pattern String -> ControlPattern`. The breakage is diffuse
+(5–6 per folder across many folders), which is what generational drift looks
+like; a single rotten directory would cluster.
+
+## Caveats
+
+- silent-eval is **pattern-level**: it proves events are emitted, not that audio
+  is audible. A name that resolves to neither a sample folder nor a SynthDef
+  still emits, and SuperDirt logs `no synth or sample named X` at play time.
+- **Playable is not gig-ready.** 597 tracks compile and emit; the binding
+  constraint on a set is which ones PLN's hands know. The driver journal
+  (`journalctl --user -u lcxl3-driver | grep 'track ->'`) is the better signal
+  for that, and is where the Thu-24 set came from.
+
