## Cap (what & why)
Dress midiviz for the Algolia DevCon26 set in the event's real branding, not a guess at it.
## Manœuvre (how)
Read the brand from the source: frames off the intro loop and the header, then
algolia.com/devcon's own CSS. The brief said Jersey 25; the site sets every
headline in **Jersey 15** (`.devcon-hero__headline`: 400, -2% tracking, navy
#14283F on the gradient). Five questions to PLN, then one commit per change.
## Prise (findings / artifacts)
- midiviz `3320289..430d10a`: Jersey 15 vendored (TTF from google/fonts, OFL),
`ui_font` per theme, DevCon family hues, cell bodies mixed over the navy
(a warm hue darkened toward black is brown; thinned over navy it stays itself),
artwork square grid instead of CRT lines, PARVAGUES as the hero headline on a
translucent gradient plate over D1-D3.
- Jersey is proportional (A-F) even with `tnum`: the hex ribbon draws per glyph
on it, +0.2 ms worst case, devcon only.
## Sel (the shareable learning)
- The idle-visibility test caught the electric-blue family's floor tint landing
*on* the navy page: #0f1933 vs #0d1833. A design invariant as a test pays.
## Hameçon (hook)
"The brief named a font. The website's CSS named a different one. The CSS won."

## 2026-09-28 — midiviz DevCon skin (visuals, not a take)
**"a bit grey, lets make this pop cooler"** on the first navy devcon theme:
low-saturation family tints on navy read as mud. **"now that's proper! ... it
looks amazing"** on the hero-headline plate (navy Jersey 15 on the corail ->
magenta -> cyan gradient over D1-D3), with one condition: **"ensure that we still
see the D1-3 under the lettering"**. The brand may sit on wired cells, never hide
them. Wants the wave (`w`) and lettering (`l`) kept as toggles; recording on the
laptop, no projector.
